Local Commitment
Heather Glen in Our Community
At Heather Glen, we value being part of the Greater Lehigh Valley. Regularly, our staff and residents of our Personal & Memory Care communities take part in giving back in charitable ways.
Together We Give
Fundraiser for Dementia-Friendly Lehigh Valley
Heather Glen Senior Living hosted a “Together We Give" program to benefit Dementia-Friendly Lehigh Valley. Our efforts raised $2,235 from outside donations. In our commitment to impact our community, we increased our match from $1,000 to $2,000. The Lehigh Valley Dementia-Friendly Coalition seeks to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders.
Honoring Our First Responders
First Responder Grab-N-Go Lunch
It was our pleasure to thank and treat our local First Responders to a Grab n’ Go Lunch. It was great to meet the heroes who work so hard to serve our community each and every day, including EMT's, our local and state police departments, and local fire departments.
Spreading the Love
Donation Drive for Parkland CARES Food Pantry
Heather Glen hosted a “Spread a Little Love” Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive to benefit the Parkland CARES Food Pantry. We were able to collect and donate 175 jars of PB & J! Isn't that sweet? Parkland CARES strives to feed and serve every member of our community affected by and suffering from hunger.
Supporting Our Parkland Community
Parkland Senior Citizens Dinners
Heather Glen Senior Living proudly sponsored the Parkland Senior Citizens Dinners which serves a free dinner to nearly 600 seniors twice a year. These dinners make seniors feel welcome within the Parkland Community, and thanks them for their support of public education. They also showcase Parkland's talented performing arts students and wonderful student volunteers who serve and host the dinner.
